Greece

We all know this popular movie!!! We have all learned a few lines and recited them as a joke, but have you ever truly experienced the life of Toula? I can honestly tell you that a majority of the issues that pop up in this movie are a part of my everyday life!

This past summer, my family and I traveled to Greece for 3 weeks. Although I have been there before, this time I went I really had a greater understanding and appreciation for everything going on. My Father is from mainland Greece, but up North in the mountains. Some of the views we experienced while there this summer was:

After spending time in the mountians, we traveled to the Island that my Mother is from. This Island is not a very big tourist attraction. While staying there, we spent some time at the beach and soaking up the sun, and even danced the night away and watched the sun rise from a roof top.

It is certianly a trip I recommend to all those I meet! At the end of our trip we spend one day in Athens. We had the Acropolis as our view while eating lunch and walked the streets of the city. In some ways we felt as though we never left New York, but when you turned the corners and saw beautiful buildings you knew you weren't home.
